Inviting Suggestions for Future Meetings

The Medicine in Literature Reading Group is currently on hiatus over the summer until the start of the next academic year begins.  However, during this time we would still like to invite recommendations for future meetings over the next semester. So far, we have met every Monday evening.  Our selection of readings was usually spontaneous, decided the weekend prior to the meeting.  We felt this kind of schedule gave us the flexibility to accommodate suggestions from all our members.  We understand, however, that not everybody’s timetable or workload suits this kind of schedule.  This is why, for the forthcoming year, we are hoping to plan the readings for a few of the meetings in advance.  We are also hoping to collaborate with other research groups or societies for some of our meetings.

If you have any recommendations for themes or texts to discuss over the next semester, please feel free to get in touch with us (using the contact form at the end).  One of the things that work really well about the reading group is that all members who attend can suggest readings.  Because of this, we end up having a diverse repertoire of readings and discussions in our meetings.

Furthermore, if you have any suggestions about a time at which we should schedule our weekly meetings, please also feel free to get in touch with us.  We would like to schedule the Reading Group on a day and time that would be most suitable to as broad a group as possible.

Please contact us using the following form, and we will get back to you promptly:
